Ministry To Moms

The main need that pricked my heart for women in our area was a sense of isolation and loneliness, and a need for community. When I had my second child, I felt very isolated. Postpartum can be a very difficult time, and not everyone has a “village” around them, and so we created a place for moms to come together and enjoy one another’s company and companionship. By being a faith-filled space, with volunteers who are believers, we are able to really pour God’s love and hope into them during this time.

We are now under the umbrella of the Pentecostal movement’s non-profit, Vedno je pot, and we have a team of 4 volunteers - the other three ladies are Slovene, which makes my heart so happy!

lives changed

Let me tell you about my friend, Nina. She brought her youngest child to one of our special events, a Carnival themed costume party. As we were talking, she asked us questions about our faith, why we were here, how we are different from the Catholic Church, etc. We invited her to church, and she came the next week, and brought her two older children with her. She started attending regularly, and after a while, gave her life to Jesus! Her family is now a foundational family in the church, the kids are in all of the Sunday school performances, she actively participates in worship, and the joy of the Lord is evident in her life!
