The Highland Lights Children’s Choir

Because we have been in children’s ministry for many years, we tend to see things that others may not. We noticed a need in our village in the Scottish Highlands for a creative outlet for younger children.

In 2021 we began the Highland Lights Children’s Choir to help the children build relationships, foster teamwork, and creatively express their gifts. This venue has given us the opportunity to meet parents, encourage children, and show the love of Christ. Now as part of the “She is Europe” initiative, you can join us in this outreach.

One of our girls, called Erin, wouldn’t even sit in the chair the first term. She was afraid of being in front of people, performing, and making any mistakes at all. For our last concert, we gave her a difficult solo which, at the last minute, she refused to do. We worked with her 3 days before the concert and were able to share our faith in Jesus with her, and that girl gained such confidence she blew everyone away at the concert.
