Normandy Re-Enactment
As a chaplain for WW2 commemorative events in Europe, Aaron has a unique opportunity to present the gospel through a shared interest in history and American culture. Preaching in a paratrooper uniform from a WW2 tent, Aaron communicates a timeless gospel to French, Europeans, and tourists. They come to celebrate their nation’s freedom…and learn about spiritual freedom.
For kids, we have a “jump platform” where they experience airborn safety training and can simulate a parachute jump. They learn about chaplains who parachute into battle with no weapons beyond their Bible and their faith, just to help others.
In a context where God and religion is often taboo, these historical events provide a wide-open door to share about Jesus and His sacrifice for their spiritual freedom. I’m very excited about this and would appreciate prayers as we develop strategic literature (tracts in comic/coloring book format) to support this outreach. These events are a wonderful opportunity to host ministry teams where women can directly interact with other women and kids with minimal language and culture barriers. We invite you to be a part of the creative ways we share the gospel in France.
